Job summary

Howden Group in Birmingham invites applications for the 2027 Graduate Actuarial Trainee Consultant in Retirement. The programme offers early client exposure, structured study support and mentoring to develop technical, communication and consulting skills.

You will join our Retirement practice, receive on-the-job training, and have access to dedicated study support including leave and mentoring to help you succeed in IFoA exams. No prior experience needed; 2:1 degree and maths emphasis required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2:1 degree required.
• A-level or higher Maths required.
• GCSE English Language grade at least C/5 or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• No prior experience required; training will be provided.
• Work with actuarial and employer consulting teams to develop client-ready outputs.
• Develop technical, analytical and communication skills through structured training and on-the-job projects.
