Job summary

Howden Group in Amersham invites you to join the 2027 Graduate Trainee Actuarial Consultant – Retirement. You will work directly with clients from day one, backed by a dedicated training team and a comprehensive study package to help you complete IFoA exams while developing your analytical and communication skills.

No prior experience is required; a 2:1 degree, Maths at A-Level or Higher, and English at GCSE are expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2:1 degree and strong academic background.
• A-level Maths (or Higher) and GCSE English (Level 6) or Scottish National 5 (B).
• Must have full and unrestricted right to work in the UK.
• No prior experience required; we’ll teach you everything you need to know.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with clients and receive extensive training to develop your skills.
• Assist with defined benefit pension actuarial services (calculations, valuations data processing, client requirements, reports, and presentations).
• Support our corporate team across a wide range of areas.
• Contribute to building capabilities in other exciting areas of the firm.
• Study support including study leave, financial support, and a study mentor.
