Job summary

Howden is seeking a 2027 Graduate Trainee Actuarial Consultant in Amersham to join our Retirement team. This programme offers early client exposure and extensive study support with dedicated training staff to guide you through the qualification journey.

You will work across actuarial and employer consulting groups, gaining experience in valuations, data validation, and client communications, while developing technical and soft skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2:1 degree with strong academic background.
• A-level or Higher Maths is required.
• GCSE English Language at Level 6 or equivalent (Scottish SN5 B) is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide actuarial services to defined benefit pension schemes.
• Process and validate data for actuarial valuations.
• Collaborate with consultants to understand client objectives and requirements.
• Prepare draft client reports and advice.
• Attend client meetings and contribute to presentations.
