Job summary

QinetiQ Limited in Gosport invites applications for a Graduate Applied Acoustic Physicist at Haslar. You will contribute technical skills to major maritime platform designs, helping ensure they are acoustically stealthy and safe to operate.

You will work in a close-knit team on trials, measurements, numerical modelling and reporting, presenting results to customers and stakeholders while developing your engineering capabilities and adherence to health, safety and security.

Qualifications

• A degree in a relevant STEM subject (Acoustics, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or similar).
• Experience with acoustics, noise, vibration or flow measurements is desirable.
• Willing to learn and develop in a multidisciplinary environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct experiments, measurements and data analysis.
• Perform numerical modelling and theoretical tasks.
• Contribute to design of test items and procedures.
• Write technical reports and present findings to customers.
• Deliver work and engage with stakeholders while adhering to health, safety and security policies.
