1 x Temporary Full Time until 31 st May 2027, 35 hours, 5 days per week
Salary: $78,076.79 to $85,552.19 + 11.5% super

About the Role:

The Graduate Accountant position is a role in Councils Financial Services. This unique opportunity will offer the right candidate (preferably from the local community) a foundation to build a career path in the local government industry.

You will work closely with qualified and experienced Accountants in operations, financial reporting and taxation functional areas. Accounts receivable activities including invoicing, client accounts reconciliations, receipting, and debt collection.

You will also assist in the month end and year end work in finance along with Receivable work, assisting in Audit queries and helping Accounts payable.

About You:

· The successful applicant is required to have successfully completed an under-graduate degree qualification in accounting or equivalent in 2022-2024

· Ability to work with accuracy and attention to detail.

· Ability to work with limited supervision and meet deadlines.

· Ability to work in a team environment.

· A high level of computer literacy and the ability to quickly learn how to operate and apply computer applications.

· Understanding of finance, accounting, budgeting and statutory financial reporting
