Howden Markets Carrier Management Team: Graduate Account Manager
The Carrier Management Team specialises in providing tailored consultancy services, including identifying growth opportunities, developing sponsorship initiatives, delivering market insights, and enhancing overall insurance carrier performance. They play a pivotal role in managing and enhancing relationships with insurance carriers.
It is instrumental for this team to understand their client needs, analyse market trends and support the development of innovative and bespoke solutions that align with the client’s objectives. This team contributes to Howden’s competitive edge in the market.

Graduate Account Manager Role Description
The Carrier Management Team is split into 2 areas, and we are looking for 2 graduates to join each team.
Client Engagement and Consultancy:
Act as a key point of contact for assigned clients, building trusted relationships and ensuring a deep understanding of their business needs and objectives.
Support carriers with bespoke consulting initiatives, including identifying growth opportunities, developing sponsorship strategies, providing market insights, and improving overall performance.
Data, Insights, and Market Intelligence:
Conduct comprehensive data analysis to generate actionable insights, compiling reports and presentations that drive decision-making and support strategic goals.
Stay informed of industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to proactively identify risks, opportunities, and emerging needs.
General day-to-day responsibilities:
Contribute to the delivery of client projects, ensuring timely, high-quality outcomes that align with agreed objectives and deliver measurable value.
Work closely with internal teams, including delivery and design functions, to ensure seamless execution of projects and alignment with client expectations.
Collaborate with external partners, including markets, capacity providers, and third-party solution providers, to strengthen strategic partnerships and enhance service delivery.
What are we looking for?
Recent graduates (2024 or 2025) with a 2:1 or above in Law, Politics, Economics or Finance-related degrees, however we are open to other degree backgrounds.
Proven ability to build and manage strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring collaboration and mutual success.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and present actionable insights.
Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively and deliver high-quality outcomes.
A proactive and adaptable mindset, with a commitment to learning and embracing new challenges.
Strong commercial acumen and keeping up with market trends.
Knowledge of insurance market trends is preferable.
