Job summary

Arup seeks a Graduate Accessible and Inclusive Environments Consultant to support design reviews and surveys, and to help translate inclusive design principles into practical projects. You will engage with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to research, reporting, and client deliverables.

The role develops skills in accessible design, stakeholder engagement and documentation while building a career within Arup’s inclusive environments practice.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline such as Architecture, Urban Planning; Geography & Geospatial Science; Human Factors / Ergonomics.
• Commitment to access and inclusive design; strong written and visual communication skills.
• Reading drawings; working understanding of equalities legislation; planning processes; CAD; stakeholder engagement; accessibility concepts.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings, specs and proposals against inclusive design principles and standards.
• Undertake user needs research and capture insights on accessibility.
• Support site surveys, accessibility audits and stakeholder engagement activities.
• Assist with preparation of technical reports, presentations and client deliverables.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop practical recommendations.
