Job summary

Step Into Teaching Limited is seeking a Graduate Academic Coach to support a Birmingham secondary school (B30). The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, with an ASAP start to cover the remainder of the 26/27 academic year.

The ideal candidate holds a 2:2 or above honours degree and will provide one-to-one and small group support, track progress, and assist with lesson planning and resources. Salary £500–£530 per week for this entry-level teaching role.

Step Into Teaching are supporting a secondary school in Birmingham (B30) with a general teaching assistant role.

The Opportunity:

• Graduate Academic Coach
• Must hold a 2:2 or above Hons degree
• Monday to Friday - Full-Time
• ASAP start for the remainder of the26/27 academic year
• Secondary School, Birmingham (B30)
• £500 - £530 per week
• Ideally suited for aspiring teachers

The successful graduate must:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Previous , tutoring, or mentoring capacity, is desirable but not essential.
• A positive and proactive attitude, with a strong commitment to students' learning and wellbeing.
• A desire to pursue a career in teaching (PGCE/Qualified Teacher Status - QTS) is an advantage but not required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-to-one and small group support for students who need additional help across a range of different subjects.
• Monitor and track students' progress, providing feedback to the class teacher.
• Assist with classroom management and maintaining a positive learning environment.
• Help with the marking of student work and providing constructive feedback where necessary.
• Contribute to the development of lesson plans and teaching resources.
• Attend meetings and participate in professional development activities to enhance .
