Job summary

Reliable Contractors Limited is recruiting an experienced Grader Operator to join the BBV HS2 project at B76 0EB. This long-term role offers secure, regular income on a major UK infrastructure project with ongoing work for the right candidate.

Candidates should hold a valid CPCS grader card and have prior experience on large civil works, with strong safety focus and ability to work both independently and in a team.

Qualifications

• Valid Blue CPCS card or recognised qualification for operating a grader.
• Previous experience operating graders on major civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
• Good understanding of site health and safety procedures.
• Ability to work accurately to levels, drawings and site specifications.
• Experience working around live earthworks operations.
• Reliable and proactive attitude towards work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate a grader safely and efficiently on the BBV HS2 project.
• Carry out earthworks, grading and levelling to required specifications.
• Work to site drawings, levels and instructions.
• Complete daily plant checks and report defects.
• Maintain productivity while following site procedures.
• Coordinate with other plant operators and groundworkers.
• Follow all site health and safety requirements.

GRADER - B76 0EB - FULLTIME - BBV

A chance to work on one of the largest infrastructure projects in the UK, spanning over the next 5-7 years (HS2).

Reliable Contractors are recruiting for an experienced Grader Operator to join the BBV HS2 project at B76 0EB.

Long-term work is available for the right candidate with the correct cards, tickets and experience, offering stable employment and regular income for the foreseeable future.

Assignment Details

• Employment Type: Full-time
• Payment Basis: PAYE
• Paid Holidays: 31 days per year (including bank holidays)
• Start Date: As soon as possible following successful vetting checks, medical and on site induction
• Assignment Duration: Ongoing / until further notice
• Location: B76 0EB

Must Have

Shifts

Working days: Monday to Friday.

Start time: 7:00am-7:30am.

Finish time: 5:00pm-5:30pm.

Overtime

Monday to Friday: Time and a third after 10 hours.

Nights: Time and a third.

Saturdays and Sundays: Time and a half.

All night hours: Time and a half.

Health and Safety Risks

The successful candidate will be expected to promote and maintain a safe working environment, ensuring site rules, procedures and relevant health and safety requirements are followed.

Key risks associated with the role include:

• Moving plant and vehicles: Maintain safe segregation and follow site traffic management procedures.
• Earthworks and uneven ground: Monitor ground conditions and follow site instructions.
• Working around other operatives: Maintain communication and observe exclusion zones.
• Plant operation: Complete daily checks and report defects promptly.
• Slips, trips and falls: Keep access routes and work areas safe and tidy.

All site-specific risks and control measures must be confirmed through the project RAMS, risk assessments and site induction.
