Job summary

Ratby Medical Centre is a friendly GP practice caring for approximately 6,500 patients. We are looking for an enthusiastic Healthcare Assistant to join our team and provide high-quality care under the supervision of GPs, Practice Nurses and the wider clinical team.

The role involves clinical observations, phlebotomy, ECGs, health checks and chronic disease monitoring, plus recording accurate information and aiding administrative tasks.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Healthcare Assistant in a GP practice.
• Confident with clinical observations and routine procedures.
• Phlebotomy experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate, approachable and able to put patients at ease.
• Organised and able to manage a varied workload.
• Committed to patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Undertake routine clinical observations (BP, pulse, temp, sats, BMI).
• Carry out phlebotomy where trained.
• Perform ECGs.
• Conduct NHS health checks and preventative assessments.
• Support chronic disease monitoring and reviews.
• Record accurate clinical information and maintain patient records.
• Assist with wound care and other procedures within competency.
• Support clinical administrative tasks and teamwork.
