Primary Care Careers is seeking a qualified dispenser to join Mendlesham Medical Group, delivering a patient-centred dispensing service from Mendlesham Health Centre and Manor Farm Surgery in Bacton. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, efficient dispensing and support daily operations.

The ideal candidate will have a Diploma Level 2 Dispensary or equivalent, strong clinical knowledge, and excellent interpersonal skills to assist patients and staff across two sites.

• Understanding and experience of working as a dispenser in GP practice setting.
• Commitment to learning new clinical skills and developing your career.
• Confidence to work as part of a busy GP multi-disciplinary practice team and use your own initiative.

Responsabilidades

• Process all prescriptions and repeat prescriptions as authorised by GPs and nurses.
• Check that medicines and appliances are appropriate and clarify with the doctor when needed.
• Collect prescription charges and ensure FP10 declarations are completed.
• Process hospital letters and dossette boxes.
• Manage ordering stock and stock control.
• Answer and deal with dispensary phone enquiries.
• Monitor patients’ exemption status.
• Sort and dispose of unwanted/returned medications.
• Assist in the smooth day-to-day running of the dispensary and surgery.
