The NHS Borders GP practice in Melrose and Newtown St Boswells is inviting applications for a GP Partner or Salaried GP to join a friendly, well-supported team serving 7,000 patients.

Working within a strong MDT with district nurses and allied health professionals, you will be part of an active training practice, with opportunities for longstanding continuity of care and sustainable workload in a rural Scottish setting.

An excellent opportunity has arisen to join our friendly, well-supported practice in Melrose and Newtown St Boswells, following a planned partner retirement in April 2027.

We are a cohesive team serving 7,000 patients, with 4 GP partners, 5 ANPs, a Practice Nurse and experienced admin support. We prioritise continuity of care and a sustainable workload, with ANPs delivering most acute care and the PN leading chronic disease management.

The role

We work within a strong MDT (district nurses, health visitors, physiotherapy, pharmacy, and CTAC) and have excellent links with Borders General Hospital (10 minutes away). We are also an active training practice (ANPs and due to start hosting FY2s soon).
