Job summary

Somerford Grove Practice is a well-established GP practice caring for more than 11,000 patients in a vibrant and diverse area near Dalston. A GP Partner role is available as part of succession planning following the retirement of a longstanding Partner, with 5-6 sessions per week.

The post holder will lead clinically and contribute to governance, financial sustainability and service development, while maintaining high quality care and collaborative teamwork.

Qualifications

• Qualified GP with GMC registration and UK eligibility.
• Minimum three years as a salaried GP.
• MRCGP and CCT desirable.
• Evidence of current appraisal/validation.
• Appropriate medical defence indemnity.
• Experience in primary care and medicines management.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality general medical services to the registered population.
• Contribute to clinical leadership, governance, and financial sustainability.
• Share responsibility for partnership decision-making.
• Support in service development and quality initiatives.
• Participate in practice meetings and cross-disciplinary collaboration.
• Maintain professional standards per GMC and NHS contracts.
