Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a Healthcare Assistant to support regional GP clinics in Ashington, delivering routine clinical tasks, patient‑facing procedures and general clinic support.

You will perform observations, assist with ECGs and health checks, help with phlebotomy where trained, and ensure accurate recording in clinical systems while aiding nursing and clinical teams; flexible shifts across weekdays, evenings or weekends.

Qualifications

• Healthcare Assistant experience in GP, community or NHS settings
• Confident in routine patient observations
• Good communication and organisational skills
• Ability to adapt to new clinics and workflows
• Phlebotomy experience beneficial
• Enhanced DBS

Responsibilities

• Conducting routine clinical observations
