NHS Borders is seeking a General Practitioner with a Specialist Interest in fostering and adoption to advise adoption and fostering panels. The role focuses on adult health screening for prospective adopters and foster carers, with reports that inform panel decisions and ongoing carer health reviews.

• Experience in writing comprehensive health reports for panels on fostering/adoption.
• Knowledge of issues affecting care experienced children/young people.
• Ability to work with social work and paediatric teams.

Responsabilidades

• Provide comprehensive health reports for adults who foster or wish to adopt.
• Screen and report on adult health assessments for prospective adopters and foster carers.
• Support panel training and updates on adult health issues.
• Contribute to practice notes and guidelines on fostering/adoption health matters.
• Attend monthly team meetings and participate in peer reviews.
