Job summary

Government Recruitment Service is recruiting a Quantity Surveyor for the DWP Estates portfolio in Blackpool. The role focuses on end-to-end commercial and financial management of complex projects, ensuring budgets, procurements, and cost controls meet required standards and timetable.

The successful candidate will work with partner networks to secure value for money across lifecycle, capital changes and FF&E, and will provide cost assurance to project teams across the portfolio.

Qualifications

• Experience in cost management across complex projects.
• Ability to develop and challenge cost plans and budgets.
• Knowledge of tender evaluation and procurement processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide independent cost management from inception to final account.
• Challenge budgets and procurement decisions for value for money.
• Audit costs and ensure compliance with design standards.
• Support cost plans and collaborate with Estates teams.
