Government Recruitment Service is seeking a Quantity Surveyor in Newcastle-upon-Tyne to support the end‑to‑end commercial and financial management of a portfolio of projects. You will challenge budgets, procure, and cost-manage to meet standards, quality, and programme delivery.

The role collaborates with the Estates team and supplier network to drive value for money across Lifecycle, Capital, and FF&E projects, ensuring alignment with the Estates portfolio plan and government standards.

Qualifikationen

• Experience in cost management and budget control.
• Knowledge of procurement policies and tender processes.
• Ability to provide independent cost audits and assurance.

• Provide support in development of cost management and review from inception to close.
• Budget challenge and cost assurance for major projects.
• Evaluate costs in feasibility reports and present recommendations.
• Work with Estates to manage a portfolio of projects and ensure value for money.
