Job summary

Akkodis is seeking a Governance and Compliance Officer to join our West Midlands team. The role delivers independent oversight of programme compliance, ensuring robust governance and proportionate controls.

You will establish governance forums, coordinate approvals, and maintain audit-ready evidence while supporting decision-making at executive levels. The position is hybrid (1 day in the office weekly) with monthly UK travel.

Qualifications

• Governance, assurance or PMO experience in complex programmes.
• Manage governance processes through senior leadership forums.
• Understand governance, controls, assurance and risk management.
• Coordinate high-quality governance papers and executive reporting.
• Manage multiple approval routes and stakeholders.
• Maintain audit-ready evidence and compliance documentation.

Responsibilities

• Establish and operate governance forums and coordinate approvals.

• Oversee compliance across programmes and ensure data integrity.
