Job summary

The University of Chichester is seeking a Governance & Compliance professional to provide governance support across the Trust and Partnership Hubs, ensuring records, policies, meetings and published information meet statutory and Trust requirements. You will work closely with the Company Secretary, executives and Governors to deliver accurate guidance.

You will coordinate self-evaluations, manage membership processes, maintain records on GIAS and GovernorHub, support induction, prepare agendas

Responsibilities

• Advise Trustees and Governors on governance legislation and best practice.
• Coordinate governance self-evaluation and annual effectiveness reviews.
• Manage governance membership processes for the Trust Board, its committees and LGBs.
• Maintain governance records and update GIAS, GovernorHub and websites.
• Prepare meeting papers, ensure quorum and produce minutes.
• Support induction and ongoing development of Trustees and Governors.
• Contribute to policy framework and ensure statutory and Trust policies are up-to-date.
