Job summary

Isle Education Trust is seeking an experienced governance professional to cler k the Board of Trustees and committees, and to coordinate governance activity across the Trust. You will support decision-making, manage policy processes, and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements.

The role emphasizes developing high-quality governance advice, coordinating council records, and engaging with Trustees and volunteers to drive improvements across the Trust. Hybrid working options are available.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting boards, committees or governance bodies.
• Ability to produce clear, professional minutes.
• Strong organisational and administrative capabilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to interpret guidance and legislation confidently.

Responsibilities

• Clerking the Board of Trustees and Committee meetings.
• Supporting Academy Oversight Committees.
• Managing governance compliance and assurance activities.
• Maintaining governance records and registers.
• Coordinating policy management and review processes.
• Supporting Trustee recruitment, induction and development.
• Managing complaints, appeals and hearing administration.
• Producing governance reports and compliance updates.
