Job description

Our Oil & Gas Operator client is currently seeking a Governance and Risk Analyst, based in Aberdeen.

24 Month PAYE contract, working 3 days a week in the Aberdeen office. Unfortunately, the role cannot be worked 100% remotely and candidates must have a working knowledge of Risk in the context of working in an oil & gas project environment.

MAIN DUTIES

Responsibilities:

• Support the Decommissioning Governance and Risk Lead team in embedding a fit-for-purpose governance framework and management process for the Decommissioning Directorate, ensuring full compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Assist in the safe and efficient execution of decommissioning scopes by implementing governance standards across the team and stakeholders.
• Maintain a document control framework for all projects.
• Develop proposals for internal approvals processes such as AMs, IRBs, etc.
• Facilitate shared learnings from decommissioning activities.
• Support the global Enterprise Risk Management System (ERMS), assisting in analysis and reporting to improve global risk management practices.
• Ensure decommissioning risks are identified, measured, mitigated, and reported in accordance with company standards and timelines.
• Keep updated on company systems, relevant regulations, and industry practices, and identify opportunities for improvement.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills

• Ability to achieve a high level of professional and personal credibility.
• Strong commitment to service delivery.
• Proficiency in MS Office tools including Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.

Preferred

• Knowledge of project controls software and tools.
• Experience in project management, especially governance, risk management, and project controls.
• Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills, with ability to conduct root cause analysis, focus on details, and prioritize issues.
