Job summary

PIE Recruitment is seeking an experienced Governance, Risk and Compliance Manager for an AI and computer vision technology business in the UK. The role sits at the centre of governance and ensures certifications, controls and assurance activities are robust daily.

You will work with senior leadership and delivery teams to embed compliance into projects, bids and operations. This hands-on role suits someone who turns complexity into practical action.

Qualifications

• Experience in governance, risk, compliance or information security within tech or regulated environments.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 27001 and related management system standards.
• Practical GDPR understanding and DPIA process experience.
• Detail-focused with ability to influence across technical, delivery and commercial teams.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve ISO standards and control mappings; ensure audit readiness.
• Own governance activities including risk registers, DPIAs, audits and cert recertification.
• Support client questionnaires and pre-sales responses with accuracy and defensibility.
• Drive compliance adoption through training and ongoing monitoring of controls.

With a host of new customers, and data at the core of the product we're looking for an experienced manager to ensure everything not only runs smoothly, but is essential to new customer partnerships.

The Job

You'll sit at the centre of governance, risk and compliance for a growing technology business, helping make sure certifications, controls and assurance activities stand up to scrutiny every day, not just when an audit is looming.

You'll work closely with senior leadership, commercial teams and delivery functions, giving you visibility across the business and real influence over how compliance is embedded into projects, bids and operational decision-making.

It's a hands-on position for someone who enjoys bringing order to complexity and turning good intentions into practical action.

What You'll Be Doing

• Maintain and improve ISO 27001, 9001, 22301, 14001 and 42001 compliance evidence, policies and control mappings.
• Own key governance activities including risk registers, DPIAs, internal audits, DSPT submissions and Cyber Essentials Plus recertification.
• Support supplier assurance, client questionnaires and pre-sales activity, ensuring responses are accurate, consistent and defensible.
• Drive compliance adoption through training, change reviews and ongoing monitoring of control effectiveness.

What You'll Need to Bring

• Previous experience in governance, risk, compliance or information security within a technology or regulated environment.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 27001 and exposure to wider management system standards.
• Practical understanding of GDPR, data protection requirements and DPIA processes.
• A detail-focused and commercially aware approach, with the confidence to work across technical, delivery and commercial teams
