Job summary

ITAC Solutions seeks a Google Cloud / Java – AI Software Engineer for an onsite role in Birmingham, AL. Direct hire with a compensation range of $130,000–$140,000. You will lead Java microservices, embed AI capabilities, and shape cloud-native architectures across the quote-to-invoice lifecycle.

You will mentor engineers, drive CI/CD and DevSecOps, and collaborate with Product, Architecture, DevOps, and QA leaders to deploy responsible AI at scale.

Qualifications

• Experience designing Java microservices and cloud-native patterns.
• Proven ability to integrate AI/ML or generative AI into production systems.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD, DevSecOps practices.
• Security governance and responsible AI considerations.
• Ability to influence architecture and mentor engineers.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

What You’ll Be Doing

What You’ll Need to be Considered

• Must be eligible to work in the US without visa sponsorship.
• Practical exposure to Python-based services and ability to extend/refactor them.
• Experience integrating AI/ML or generative AI services into production enterprise systems.
• Understanding of security, governance, and responsible AI considerations.
• Ability to influence architectural direction without direct supervisory authority.
• Familiarity with prompt-based generative AI integration and AI service orchestration patterns.
