Job summary

Delta Hotels by Marriott Tudor Park Country Club in Maidstone seeks a Goods Receiver to manage deliveries, inspect goods, and ensure accurate stock records. You’ll work with kitchens, F&B, housekeeping, and maintenance to keep supplies flowing for guest experiences.

The role focuses on receiving, inspecting, storing, and rotating stock while upholding HACCP and safety standards. Part-time 25 hours/week with weekend rota.

Qualifications

• Experience in goods receiving or stock control is desirable.

• Basic computer skills and stock management experience.
• Knowledge of food safety and FIFO practices helpful.

Responsibilities

• Receive and check all deliveries against orders and notes.

• Monitor food safety and HACCP requirements (temperature checks).
• Store goods safely with proper stock rotation (FIFO).
• Coordinate with departments on incoming deliveries.
• Report shortages or supplier issues promptly.

Job description

As a Goods Receiver, you will be responsible for receiving, inspecting, and managing all deliveries to the hotel, ensuring stock is accurately checked, recorded, and stored in line with company procedures. You will work closely with the kitchen, food and beverage, housekeeping, and maintenance teams to ensure the hotel has the supplies required to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and check all deliveries against purchase orders and delivery notes.
• Inspect goods for quality, quantity, and any signs of damage or discrepancies.
• Accurately record all deliveries and maintain stock control records.
• Ensure food deliveries comply with food safety and HACCP requirements, including temperature checks.
• Store goods safely and appropriately, following stock rotation procedures (FIFO).
• Coordinate with department heads regarding incoming deliveries and stock requirements.
• Report shortages, damaged goods, or supplier issues promptly.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe receiving and storage area.
• Assist with stock takes and inventory management.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety, food safety, and company policies.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in a goods receiving, stores, warehouse, or hospitality stock control role is desirable.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

• Basic computer skills and experience using stock management systems would be advantageous.
