Job summary

Line Up Aviation in Stevenage is seeking a Goods Inwards Inspector to join on an initial 12-month contract. You will verify received goods against purchase orders and ensure compliance before acceptance, with a pay rate of 28.71 per hour via Umbrella Company.

The role involves reading assembly drawings, inspecting parts, producing QC documentation, and maintaining quality/workflow standards. Security clearance is required; 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3/TR23/TR21 or HNC required.
• Must have goods in inspection experience.
• Team player with customer focus.
• Manual handling training required.
• SAP literacy is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Verify and accept procured product in line with contractual conditions.
• Read and understand assembly drawings with tolerances and machined details.
• Inspect finishes to detect faults, deterioration or poor workmanship.
• Produce inspection/quality control documentation.
• Check and complete paperwork for delivered articles.
• Ensure inspections times are met.
• Control defective items via segregation from good product.
• Raise and maintain defect reports.
• Maintain product verification through audits.
• Inspect PCBs and ensure adherence to procedures.
• Maintain high workmanship standards and quality.
• Contribute to a safe, orderly working environment.
