Job summary

World Class Defence Organisation in Bolton is seeking a Goods Inwards Inspector subcontractor on an initial 12-month contract. The role includes verifying supplier goods against orders, reading engineering drawings, and performing first-off inspections to ensure high-quality standards.

The ideal candidate will have an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, possibly an HNC, and SAP literacy is desirable. The position offers an hourly umbrella rate with overtime payable after 37 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Formal technical apprenticeship to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
• Formal further education certificate to HNC or equivalent.
• SAP literacy desirable.

Responsibilities

• Ensure goods from suppliers meet purchase order criteria and are compliant.
• Verify and accept procured products per contract conditions.
• Read and interpret assembly drawings for tolerances and machining inspections.
• Perform first-off inspections and check part finishes for faults or deterioration.
• Produce inspection/quality control documentation and complete paperwork.
• Maintain inspections timetables and segregate defective items from good product.
