Job summary

JDR Recruitment is advising for a Warehouse Team Leader to join our client in Skelmersdale on a permanent basis. The role combines hands‑on leadership with team management to ensure efficient goods in and stock control operations.

The ideal candidate will lead by example, manage performance and attendance, and foster process improvements. The role offers clear career progression, with salary of £28,392 per annum and a rotating two‑week shift pattern.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Warehouse Team Leader or Supervisor position.
• Experience managing or supporting a warehouse team.
• Experience with performance and absence management.
• Experience managing rotas and holidays.
• Previous Goods In or Stock Control experience is desirable but not essential.
• Experience carrying out stock counts.
• Previous experience using a WMS.
• PPT and Reach Truck experience is desirable.
• A proactive approach to improving processes and efficiency.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• The ability to lead by example and motivate others.
• A positive, can‑do attitude.

Responsibilities

The Role

As Goods In Team Leader, you will support the smooth and efficient running of the Goods In and stock control operation, whilst leading and developing a team of warehouse operatives.

Shift Pattern

The role operates on a rotating two‑week shift pattern:

Week 1: Monday to Thursday, 1:00pm to 9:30pm

Week 2: Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm, plus Saturday 9:00am to 5:00pm

An enhanced DBS check will be required for the successful candidate and will be fully funded by the company.
