Job description

Role: Goods in / Store Person

Location: Central London

Duration: 3 Months (6-month contract extension)

Day rate: £130 inside IR35

Position Overview

We are seeking a meticulous and dedicated Goods In / Stores person to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to receive, check, and store delivered items efficiently and accurately and to redistribute where necessary within the main building or externally to regional offices using approved secure couriers.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and check all delivered items, ensuring they match the delivery notes and purchase orders.
• Inspect goods for any damage or discrepancies upon arrival.
• Report any damages or discrepancies by completing a delivery discrepancy form and notifying the supplier promptly.
• Store items in the designated areas, ensuring proper storage conditions and organisation.
• Maintain accurate records of received goods and update inventory systems accordingly.
• Asset tagging all capital items and recording on the central Service Now Asset management database.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth and timely distribution of goods.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies.
• Assist in regular stock takes and inventory audits.
