Job summary

The Club Company is seeking a Golf Courses Manager for The Warwickshire, a premier 500-acre resort with multiple championship courses. You will lead greens/maintenance, drive improvements, and manage capital plans while ensuring high-quality playing surfaces all year round.

You will oversee a large team of greenkeepers and gardeners, coordinate with the Resort Director, and uphold safety and ESG targets, delivering top-tier service across the club network.

Qualifications

• Previous golf course management experience or advanced deputy role experience required.
• PA1, PA2, PA6 spraying certificates.
• Chainsaw qualifications would be an advantage.
• NVQ level 3 or equivalent as a minimum.
• Irrigation knowledge with Toro Lynx and satellite controllers.
• Maintain a fleet of machinery alongside the mechanic.
• Able to work within an agreed budget.
• Have a good understanding of current Health and safety in the workplace.
• Desire to continue to improve own knowledge and skill base.
• Good communication skills with a passion for delivering top quality service.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and implementing general course maintenance and improvement projects.
• Oversee turf maintenance: mowing, watering, fertilising, pest/weed control.
• Develop and execute a maintenance schedule to keep the course in top condition year-round.
• Monitor weather and adjust practices accordingly.
• Coordinate with Resort Director and Group Course Manager on progress for members and guests.
• Stay informed about ESG targets and eco-friendly greenkeeping techniques.
• Ensure safety regulations compliance and safe equipment operation.
• Maintain and oversee all greenkeeping equipment and repairs.
• Develop agronomic plans for quality and playability.
• Oversee annual budget and capital expenditure plans.
• Maintain admin/record-keeping for the department.
• Lead, motivate and train a large team of greenkeepers and gardeners.
• Plan weekly work schedules, holidays and staffing levels.
