Job summary

Nando’s UK & Ireland is seeking a mid-level Software Engineer to join the Retention & Loyalty team. You’ll contribute to scalable systems that support our customer data security, rewards programme, and marketing communications.

You’ll work across backend services and integrations, collaborate with Technical Leads, and own features with mentorship and growth opportunities in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with Golang (Essential).
• Exposure to TypeScript, React, or Rust (bonus).
• Exposure to BigQuery and Dataform (bonus).
• Experience working in agile teams and contributing to breaking down work and estimating effort.
• Experience working across at least one backend or full-stack environment.
• Ability to communicate technical ideas clearly, including how they benefit customers.
• Comfortable collaborating with stakeholders and contributing to technical discussions.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design, development, deployment, and maintenance of scalable systems.
• Work across the stack, whether backend services, integrations, or user-facing applications.
• Collaborate closely with Technical Leads and teammates to deliver well-structured, maintainable solutions.
• Take ownership of features or services, with support where needed.
• Develop and maintain end-to-end and unit tests, improving code quality and reliability.
• Support services in production, including monitoring, alerting, and incident resolution.
• Build and maintain release pipelines, and support troubleshooting when needed.
