Job summary

Just Eat Takeaway.com is seeking a Go Engineer to build and scale high-throughput microservices within the JET Connect team. You will help maintain core integrations that power thousands of partners across international markets, working in a fast-paced, delivery-driven environment.

You will proactively improve the codebase, participate in design discussions, and ensure reliability and performance of critical systems.

Qualifications

Solid Go experience with production-grade code and testing.
Proactive problem solver who improves codebase and processes.
Strong understanding of microservices and event-driven design concepts.
SRE mindset focused on reliability and production health.
Excellent written and verbal communication for cross-team collaboration.
Experience with Test-Driven Development and partnering in pair programming.
Comfort using AI coding assistants to accelerate development workflows.
Hands-on AWS experience: DynamoDB, SNS, SQS, S3.
Bonus: experience in international environments and with high-volume transactional systems (POS/e-commerce) or Kafka.

Responsibilities

Build and scale microservices and features in Go for high throughput.
Collaborate in Kanban and actively pick up work in a continuous delivery setup.
Champion system health by investigating and resolving production anomalies.
Contribute to scalable system design and architecture discussions.
Collaborate across product and delivery teams to ensure smooth integrations across markets.
