Job summary

Project Global Limited in London is seeking an experienced Golang Engineer to join a client based in London or Bristol, UK. The role is hybrid: work remotely in the UK and attend either office three days a week; it's a 12-month contract with a competitive day rate.

You will work on transforming financial services platforms, focusing on secure Go microservices, REST APIs, and modern deployment practices using Kubernetes and Helm.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining/troubleshooting secure Go microservices.
• Experience with REST APIs and containerisation technologies.
• Ability to work in a team as well as independently.
• Strong analytical, problem solving, and strategic thinking skills.
• In depth knowledge of best coding practices, code management, agile development and continuous delivery.
• Hands on experience with Kubernetes and deployments with Helm.

Our client, a leading global supplier for IT services, requires experienced Golang Engineers to be based at their client’s offices in London or Bristol, UK

This is a hybrid role – you can work remotely in the UK and attend the London or Bristol office 3 days per week.

This is a 12 month temporary contract to start asap

Day rate: Competitive Market rate

The Role

This role sits within a team focused on developing innovative solutions that provide deeper insights into customer interactions and behaviours. You’ll work on cutting-edge mobile and digital experiences, helping to improve customer engagement through data-driven decision-making and modern technology.

Key Requirements:

• Knowledge of maintaining/troubleshooting secure Go microservices
• Experience of RESTAPIs, containerisation technologies, micro-services architecture
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team as well as independently
• Excellent analytical, problem solving, and strategic thinking skills
• In depth knowledge of best coding practices, code management, agile development practices and continuous delivery
• Hands on experience with Kubernetes and deployments with helm.

Desirable:

• Experience of JAVA development
• Familiar with SQL databases
• Experience with monitoring tools like Dynatrace and SPLUNK
