Job summary

Thrive IT Systems in the United Kingdom is seeking a skilled backend engineer to contribute to the global Loyalty and Benefits platform. You will build and improve Account domain features as part of a cross-functional team.

You will work within Scrum, ensure code is tested and automated through the CI/CD pipeline to production, and collaborate with engineers across the platform to share knowledge and best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering or related technical discipline or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in professional software development.

Job description

• Work on the global Loyalty and Benefits platform.
• Build and enhance features in the Account domain.

• Work within a Scrum framework as part of a team to deliver business functions and customer journeys that are tested and automated throughout the CICD pipeline to production.

Qualifications

Required Skills

• Demonstrable experience in at least one backend type safe programming language Golang.
• Comfortable experienced with backend microservice architecture and communication specifically REST and asynchronous messaging services eg Kafka RabbitMQ etc.
• Comfortable experience within a Scrum framework working with as part of a team to deliver business functions and customer journeys that are tested and automated throughout the CICD pipeline to production.
• Solid understanding of test-driven development including unit component functional system integration and regression tests.
• Knowledge of software engineering methodology Agile incl Scrum Kanban SAFe TestDriven Development TDD Behaviour Driven Development BDD and Waterfall.
• Experienced in continuous integration CI continuous deployment CD and continuous testing CT including tools such as Jenkins Rally And or JIRA and version control such as GIT or SVN.
