Job summary

Pharmaron Hoddesdon site is seeking a Materials Management Operative to support GMP manufacturing operations. You will manage receipt, storage, and distribution of materials, ensure accurate inventory, and handle hazardous waste safely.

Qualifications

• Experience in a goods receipt / warehouse environment.
• Experience in GMP or other regulated environments, with chemical/hazardous waste handling is advantageous.
• Able to work safely in a chemical or warehouse setting.

Responsibilities

• Receive chemical raw material deliveries in line with GMP procedures, including hazardous and temperature‑sensitive chemicals.
• Store materials according to defined storage requirements.
• Load/unload vehicles and store materials using a forklift truck.
• Deliver materials and consumables to on-site end-users.
• Carry out stock checks and maintain accurate inventory system records.
• Sample received materials and liaise with internal departments to meet requirements.
• Complete administrative tasks including data entry, certificate sourcing, filing and archiving.
• Collect and process hazardous and non‑hazardous waste safely and compliantly.
• List, label and pack waste per site and regulatory procedures.
• Maintain tidiness and equipment in line with GMP and Pharmaron standards.
• Support continuous improvement of work areas and productivity.
• Operate plant/equipment safely and report issues promptly.
