Job summary

Allscreens Nationwide Ltd in Ruislip, London, seeks a Materials Handler to support the machining area by ensuring materials, tools and supplies are available when and where needed.

You will move raw materials to machining centres, transfer finished and WIP parts to the next operation or storage, track material flow, and keep work areas tidy and well-stocked. This permanent role offers a Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm schedule and pays £13.50 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Deliver raw materials and parts to machining centres as scheduled.
• Move finished and WIP parts to next operation, inspection, or storage area.
• Track material flow to prevent bottlenecks or shortages.
• Maintain clean, organised, and well-stocked work areas for machinists.
• Ensure shadow boards, storage racks and tool carts are organised.
• Remove debris and keep aisles clear.
• Assist with stocktakes and loading/unloading as needed.

Job description

Materials Handler to support the efficient operation of the Machining area at their site. This role is central to keeping production moving-ensuring materials, tools, and supplies are available

when and where they're needed, reducing downtime and helping maximise productivity across the shop floor. You'll also play a key part in maintaining and improving

5S standards.

Location: Ruislip, London

Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm

Pay: £13.50 per hour

Key Responsibilities for Materials Handler:

• Deliver raw materials, blanks, and semi-finished parts to machining centres in line with the schedule.
• Remove finished and WIP parts and deliver them to the next operation, inspection, or storage area.
• Track and manage material flow to prevent bottlenecks or shortages.
• Maintain clean, organised, and well-stocked work areas for machinists.
• Ensure shadow boards, storage racks, and tool carts are correctly organised.
• Remove debris, empty chip bins, and keep aisles clear of obstructions.
• Provide cover across

Warehouse and Yard roles when required (including loading/unloading delivery trucks and walking to

Unit 7 and Unit 5 to support site operations as needed).

• Assist with scheduled stocktakes throughout the year, supporting counting and recording across all Logistics areas (not just Apex House).
• Support correct loading and securing procedures: assist the Yard Operative when needed to ensure safe loading, and ensure drivers check and strap loads before departure.

Requirements for Materials Handler:

• Previous experience in a similar materials handling / shop floor logistics role.

Forklift licence preferred (Counterbalance and/or Reach).

• Good English reading and writing skills.

Expected Outcomes / KPI's:

• Improved tidiness and efficiency across the machine shop.
• Strong integration and teamwork across the Logistics Department.
• Consistent wearing of company-issued PPE at all times (including

safety glasses and safety boots) in manufacturing and warehouse areas.

• Permanent position with potential full-time contract being offered.
