Job summary

Autolus Ltd in Stevenage is seeking a Multi-Skilled Engineer II to maintain specialist pharmaceutical equipment and facility installations to support GMP manufacturing and QC operations. The role focuses on corrective and preventive maintenance across packaging and utility systems, with emphasis on safety and compliance.

The engineer will plan, perform, and document maintenance tasks, manage spares, and provide operator training as needed.

Qualifications

• Three years' experience in a clean room and regulated environment.
• Experience in pharmaceutical/regulated industries preferred.
• Knowledge of GMP and quality systems (CAPAs, deviations).

Responsibilities

• Respond to faults and diagnose equipment breakdowns.
• Repair and improve equipment issues.
• Return equipment to production in safe condition.
• Conduct risk assessments prior to maintenance work.
• Complete breakdown and repair reports.
• Plan and undertake scheduled maintenance.
• Create maintenance procedures (SOPs).
• Manage contractors and their activities.
• Support Facilities, Validation and Capital Project Engineering as required.
• Maintain stocks of critical engineering spares and equipment.
• Maintain an engineering workshop.
• Provide operator training as necessary.
• Use manuals and failure history to develop preventative tasks.
• Provide SME support to other functions.
• Deputise in other roles as required.
