Job summary

Eurofins Scientific is seeking a Shift Environmental Monitoring Scientist for a full-time, permanent role. The position operates on a two-week rotating pattern of 11-hour day shifts, with options 06:00–17:00 or 07:00–18:00.

You will aseptically collect samples at client facilities, perform GMP-compliant microbiological testing, manage samples in LIMS, review schedules, and prepare technical reports while supporting continuous improvement and client service.

Qualifications

• Degree in microbiology or related life science field.
• Experience in GMP pharmaceutical labs and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong documentation and record-keeping abilities.
• Clear communication with internal/external stakeholders.
• Commitment to quality and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Aseptically collect environmental monitoring and cleaning validation samples at client facilities in GMP environments.
• Perform routine and non-routine microbiological and QC testing (bioburden, endotoxin, concentration, conductivity).
• Manage samples through their lifecycle in LIMS with chain of custody and documentation.
• Review manufacturing schedules and environmental monitoring plans; resolve issues and investigate OOS results.
• Calculate, evaluate, and GMP assess analytical data; prepare technical reports and support equipment maintenance.
• Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge and adapt to new technologies and methods.
