Lonza in Slough is seeking an Expert Biotechnologist for a permanent, full-time, site-based role within Manufacturing. The position offers a clear career path with progression opportunities and no direct line management responsibilities.

You will act as Manufacturing Representative for key projects, serve as System Owner, lead CAPA-driven improvements, and train operations staff while collaborating with MSAT and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Degree or Master’s in Life Sciences or related field.
• Proven GMP-regulated manufacturing experience.
• Experience with fermentation and purification processes.
• Knowledge of quality, safety, environmental and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and coaching abilities.

Responsibilities

• Act as Manufacturing Representative for major projects and provide operational support.
• Serve as System Owner to ensure compliance, reliability and performance.
• Lead troubleshooting, deviations, and CAPA actions for continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across sites to resolve challenges.
• Deliver training on equipment and processes to manufacturing staff.
• Support Plant Leads and MSAT with process mapping to improve efficiency.
• Manage facility and fabrication works supporting operations and infrastructure.
• Prepare technical presentations, protocols and reports for stakeholders.
• Provide technical input for customer meetings and project updates.
