Job summary

Lonza Group Ltd in Slough, UK is seeking a Biotechnologist for a 12‑month FTC on day shift (6am–6pm). This entry‑level role provides hands-on experience in a GMP manufacturing environment, transitioning from supervised to unsupervised tasks in our cleanroom.

You will support production, complete required training, follow cGMP, contribute to continuous improvement, and work with Lonza's quality procedures. This fully site-based role emphasizes collaboration, safety, and meticulous documentation.

Biotechnologist - Day Shift

Location: Slough

Shift Pattern: 6am to 6Pm - 12 Month FTC

As a Biotechnologist at Lonza AG, you will embark on an exceptionally rewarding journey within our Manufacturing team. This entry-level position is meticulously crafted to provide you with hands‑on experience in a GMP Manufacturing environment, transitioning from supervised to unsupervised activities. Your contributions will be pivotal in ensuring the flawless production of life-changing products at our Slough, UK facility. This is a fully site‑based role. Working together in person supports close, real‑time collaboration and the technical precision needed to manufacture medicines to the highest quality and safety standards.

In this role, you will work in a cleanroom environment. This involves wearing full protective equipment daily including a full-body gown, face mask, and gloves as well as following important hygiene protocols, which include continuous hand washing and sanitization.

What you will do:

• Successfully implement various tasks to ensure products are manufactured according to schedule, safety requirements, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Acquire a detailed understanding of production systems and relevant Lonza systems to enable efficient production.
• Ensure completion of all necessary training to perform production activities with precision.
• Adhere strictly to high standards of cGMP for both yourself and your colleagues.
• Gain familiarity with Lonza's quality procedures, including change control, the deviation system, and validation procedures.
• Assist in correction and data management activities, ensuring that documentation standards are met impeccably.
• Engage directly in the manufacturing process, identify continuous improvements, and contribute to the completion of various projects.
