Talos, a hybrid-friendly, globally distributed team with hubs in New York, London, Singapore and Cyprus, seeks a GM, Head of Data to own the data business P&L and drive market-ready data products. You will shape strategy, packaging, pricing and go-to-market for self-service and enterprise clients while coordinating with engineering, sales and leadership.

You’ll lead research, product and data science teams, push for revenue growth, and define brand positioning within Talos.

• Proven experience leading a business unit or owning a P&L.
• Track record of turning around or growing a business with measurable results.

• Define the positioning and brand strategy for the data business within the wider Talos group.
• Build a high-performing, motivated team with a strong sense of ownership and shared identity.

GM, Head of Data

We are seeking someone to lead the Talos data business and position it for strong, sustainable growth. You’ll own the P&L, product strategy and client relationships for our digital assets data offering, built on the Coin Metrics acquisition. Working closely with engineering, sales and executive leadership, you’ll shape how our data products are built, packaged and taken to market. This is a high-ownership role for an experienced business leader who has built or run a data business before and believes digital assets are where markets are heading.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading a business unit or owning a P&L, ideally at a market data, index or financial data provider.
• A track record of turning around or growing a business, with clear, measurable results.
• Strong data product expertise, including monetisation, packaging, pricing and go-to-market for both self-service and enterprise models.
• A background in capital markets. Digital assets experience is a plus, but a strong understanding of and conviction about the asset class is essential.
• Demonstrated ability to influence and deliver through cross-functional teams without direct authority.
• Experience building and leading research, product or data science teams.
• Sound commercial judgement and accurate forecasting.
• Executive presence and the ability to engage and constructively challenge senior leadership.
• A builder’s mindset, suited to fast-moving, entrepreneurial environments rather than established incumbents.
