Job summary

WPP is seeking a Senior Treasury Systems Leader to shape and deliver the future of Treasury technology across a global organisation. You will oversee governance, automation and major system initiatives, reporting to Group Treasury and collaborating with Finance, IT and external partners.

The role includes leading a team with global reach, driving strategic upgrades, data governance and process optimisation to support cash management and liquidity on a global scale.

Qualifications

• Proven experience implementing, managing, or supporting Treasury Management Systems in corporate or financial services.
• Strong understanding of UK and international treasury operations including cash management and liquidity.
• Experience delivering complex transformation and systems initiatives on time and within budget.
• Advanced analytical skills with Excel, reporting tools and data-driven decision making.
• Experience integrating treasury platforms with ERPs, banking systems and payment networks.
• Proactive problem solver focused on process optimisation, controls and continuous improvement.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
• Comfortable working in a global, fast-paced team environment.
• Interest in AI applications to enhance treasury operations, insights and decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Treasury Systems strategy, roadmap and transformation agenda across a global organisation.
• Deliver large-scale transformation initiatives including upgrades, automation, integrations and data governance.
• Oversee full project lifecycle from requirements through testing, implementation and post-go-live support.
• Partner with Treasury, Finance, IT, banking partners and external vendors for successful delivery.
• Act as liaison between Treasury and technology teams to translate business needs into scalable tech solutions.
• Manage governance, service delivery, vendor relationships and continuous improvement.
• Maintain a robust control environment aligning systems with governance requirements.
• Champion automation and AI-driven solutions to enhance treasury processes and decisions.
• Drive data quality, reporting accuracy and operational efficiency globally.
• Support strategic cash management, liquidity and transformation initiatives.
• Develop scalable support models, processes and best practices for Treasury operations.
• Monitor emerging technologies and industry trends to improve Treasury capabilities.
