Job summary

Owen Daniels in Coventry seeks an experienced Trade & Security Compliance Manager to lead and develop trade and security compliance across a complex, highly regulated aerospace environment. You will advise on UK export controls, US ITAR/EAR, sanctions, and customs, and manage a team across functions while aligning with regulatory obligations.

Role involves supporting strategic initiatives, policy development and international travel up to ~10%.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in trade compliance and export controls in a regulated aerospace/defence setting.
• Strong knowledge of UK export controls and US ITAR/EAR.
• Experience with international trade, sanctions, and customs compliance.
• Proven ability to develop policies, procedures and training.
• Excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills.
• Willingness to travel circa 10% internationally.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop trade and security compliance policies and programmes.
• Provide guidance on UK/US export controls and classification.
• Oversee audits, investigations and corrective actions.
• Manage a multidisciplinary team across functions.
• Support strategic initiatives and regulatory changes.
• Ensure compliance with government security classifications and data handling.
• Deliver training to employees and stakeholders.
