Job summary

Position 1 Recruitment in Watton is seeking a Proposal Engineer to manage technical and commercial aspects of customer enquiries and tenders from initial review through to contract award and handover.

You will work with customers, suppliers, sales, purchasing and design teams to ensure proposals are technically compliant, commercially accurate and delivered within agreed timescales. Occasional travel within the UK and overseas may be required.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret customer enquiries to establish project requirements.
• Develop tender submissions within customer deadlines.
• Respond to technical queries and provide clarification throughout the tender process.
• Collaborate with Sales to convert enquiries into orders.
• Prepare contract handover documentation for the Design team.
• Identify and evaluate quotations from suppliers.
• Produce project cost estimates and BOMs for equipment.
