Job summary

Canonical seeks a Tax Senior Associate to design and own tax processes supporting global expansion. You will work with the CFO to manage corporate tax, VAT, and cross-border initiatives across multiple entities, with a focus on leveraging technology to optimize tax compliance and planning.

The role is remote in the EMEA region, with potential office collaboration in London, UK. A strong academic record and professional tax qualifications are essential, as is experience in a multinational context.

Qualifications

• Academic excellence in high school and university
• Undergraduate degree in business/finance/economics/tech or quantitative field
• Professional accounting and tax qualifications (ACA/ACCA/CIMA; CTA/ADIT) and global tax exposure

Responsibilities

• Coordinate preparation and review of corporate tax, VAT, and other tax returns for multiple entities
• Develop transfer pricing documentation with external advisers and lead implementation
• Act as a key contact for tax audits, preparing responses with advisers
• Improve tax processes, controls, and data management using technology/automation
• Manage tax provisioning and IFRS tax reporting and disclosures
