Job summary

Monzo is recruiting a Senior Director of Global Tax to lead the tax function across the UK, Europe and future markets. You will guide tax strategy, compliance and planning in a fast-growing fintech environment.

You will manage a 10+ person tax team, collaborate with product, treasury and engineering, and drive the tax agenda across new products, international expansion and automation initiatives.

Qualifications

• Qualified tax professional with in-house tax leadership experience.
• Experience advising on cross-border tax issues and international structuring.
• Strong track record coaching teams and driving technical excellence.

Responsibilities

• Define and lead global tax strategy across UK, Europe and future markets.
• Structure cross-border expansion and assess permanent establishment risks.
• Lead transfer pricing policy, documentation and intragroup financing.
• Oversee Direct Tax, Indirect Tax, Employment Tax and related regimes globally.
• Manage relationships with HMRC and international tax authorities.
