Job summary

ConocoPhillips in the United Kingdom seeks a Systems Support Engineer to sustain reliable non-ETRM applications, supporting compliance, credit risk, market risk, pricing, data platforms, reporting, and integrations.

You will restore service, implement controlled changes, and support continuity of global trading operations, while ensuring ITIL, security, and operational controls are followed across regional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Management Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 or more years of experience supporting enterprise business applications in production.
• Intermediate level of experience providing Level 1 and Level 2 application support in a global or multi-region operating environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor application health, trade and data flows, batch processing, interfaces, reporting, and downstream dependencies.
• Triage incidents, assess business impact, restore service, coordinate escalations, and communicate recovery status, workarounds, and next steps.
• Operate within a follow-the-sun model through structured handoffs, regional coordination, and end-to-end issue ownership.
• Maintain accurate support procedures and knowledge records.
• Meet service-level commitments and comply with ITIL, security, change management, and operational controls.
