Job summary

McLaren Automotive Ltd in the UK is seeking six SQD Engineers to support supplier quality and development for powertrain components across programmes. You will manage supplier qualification, APQP/PPAP, and PPAP tracking from sourcing through series production, ensuring quality, delivery and cost targets.

Working primarily from the UK with a global remit, you will audit supplier sites, drive risk mitigation, and lead cross‑functional reviews to resolve issues while maintaining PPAP compliance and

Qualifications

Degree‑level engineering qualification or equivalent practical experience.
Strong understanding of automotive supplier quality processes and end‑to‑end supply chains.
Experience launching products into production and leading multi‑model programmes.

Responsibilities

Assess and qualify global supplier sites for competence and reliability.
Ensure IATF16949 compliant suppliers and PPAP pedigree.
Collaborate with Engineering and Purchasing to nominate capable suppliers.
Lead APQP/PPAP activities and track delivery milestones.
Support DFMs and manufacturability reviews with suppliers.
