Job summary

Leonardo UK is seeking a Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer to drive supplier assurance across a global network, coordinating audits and improving QMS alignment with industry standards.

You will support Certification and Airworthiness teams, review supplier quality plans, and lead improvements in supplier processes. Hybrid working is offered with opportunities for UK and international travel.

Qualifications

• Educated to HNC or equivalent with substantial aerospace experience.
• Lead Assessor potential with practical ISO 9001 and EN/AS9100 knowledge (training can be given).
• Sound knowledge of regulatory standards such as EASA Part 21G and FAA FAR21; PART21J and Part 145 knowledge is a plus (training can be given).
• Knowledge of quality fundamentals, tools and techniques.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interpret information against requirements.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist SQA in providing a supplier approval service to deliver quality products within timescales.
• Manage Corrective Action Requests and ensure timely closure.
• Maintain a global list of approved LH suppliers and their scopes.
• Advise Procurement and Engineering on supplier quality matters and formal quality communications.
• Represent SQA in meetings and reviews as required by your Manager.
• Review and approve supplier Quality Plans against LH requirements.
• Coordinate with LH SQA geographies on common suppliers and control procedures.
• Develop new tools and improve team performance while following regulatory requirements.
