Job summary

MorePeople seeks a Supplier Compliance Manager to own supplier compliance across the UK and Europe. You will audit suppliers, assess risks, and guide ethical and retailer-driven standards while collaborating with suppliers, customers and internal teams.

Responsibilities include conducting audits, supporting retailer approvals, SEDEX compliance, and providing practical food safety guidance. Travel across the UK and Europe is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience auditing food manufacturing sites
• Solid understanding of food safety, quality and retailer standards
• Good knowledge of factory environments and manufacturing processes
• Experience managing supplier relationships and corrective actions
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build credibility with different stakeholders
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail
• The confidence to work independently and manage a varied workload
• Willingness to travel throughout the UK and Europe

Responsibilities

• Visiting suppliers across the UK and Europe to carry out technical audits and follow through on any resulting actions
• Assessing supplier risk and helping shape the ongoing supplier approval and monitoring process
• Supporting suppliers through retailer approval requirements and preparing sites for customer audits and visits
• Working with suppliers on ethical compliance, including SEDEX
• Providing practical technical advice around food safety standards, retailer requirements and Codes of Practice
• Keeping up to date with changing retailer expectations and translating these into practical guidance for suppliers and colleagues
• Overseeing the internal audit programme
• Monitoring food fraud and incident information to identify trends and areas requiring attention
• Working with customer Technical teams to maintain strong working relationships
• Supporting specifications and pack copy through retailer systems
• Sharing your technical knowledge through training and guidance where required
