Job summary

Undeb Aberystwyth is seeking an International Communities Coordinator to strengthen belonging and engagement among international students and to provide operational support for cultural societies. The role focuses on creating inclusive activities, building partnerships across the University and local communities, and enabling safe and accessible events.

The post supports outreach to international students, coordinating committees, and promoting opportunities across campus.

Qualifications

• Good general education, typically to the Higher/Advanced level or equivalent.
• University/College Degree or equivalent desirable.
• Demonstrable experience of working effectively on own initiative.
• Experience of arranging engaging meetings and events.
• Experience of planning and implementing promotional and communication campaigns.
• Experience of managing, motivating and training volunteers in independent roles.
• Experience of using online media including social networks and developing website content.
• Experience of developing and supporting projects.
• Understanding of international or culturally minoritised students' challenges, inform by personal or community experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for international student communities and societies.
• Organise events and activities celebrating cultural diversity.
• Promote student group opportunities during Welcome Week and other key periods.
• Ensure activities comply with Union policies, health and safety requirements.
• Collaborate with facilities to provide access to required spaces and transport.
